IGO began in 1967 with a group of 7 trustees who felt that the Lord wanted them to join together and form a group that would give mutual support, one to the other.

It has continued ever since and is made up of Ordained Ministers, Affiliated Ministers, Christian Workers and Intercessors.

We are connected across the world and exist to ‘recognize the whole church and reach out to the whole world.

IGO is a caring fellowship that spans the world, linking together churches, Christian organisations, missionaries, ministers, Christian workers and intercessors from many backgrounds.

IGO has as its motto "Recognising the whole Church ... reaching out to the whole world."
It is non-denominational in its approach, so all are welcome whether part of a "recognised" denomination or not. It has world-wide evangelism as its aim.

IGO is a World-wide Fellowship of Ministries, Ministers, Christian Workers of all kinds and Intercessors.

IGO gives official recognition of God's ordination.

IGO is a Ministry of Prayer and Encouragement to all the membership and to the Body of Christ in general, providing a 24-hour Emergency Prayer Link.
